About The Position

The Restaurant Server delivers exceptional dining experiences by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. The role involves accurate order taking, timely food and beverage delivery, and adherence to established service standards while creating a welcoming and memorable atmosphere. The server also prepares and maintains dining areas and service stations, supports coworkers, and follows food safety, sanitation, and company policies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of food and beverage service standards preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math, cash-handling, and POS system skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Food Handler and Alcohol Service certifications as required by local regulations.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to carry trays and lift up to 30 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment with varying noise levels.

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival.
Present menus and explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
Make recommendations and answer questions about food and beverage offerings.
Provide personalized, attentive service and anticipate guest needs throughout the dining experience.
Respond promptly to guest requests, address concerns professionally, and notify management when necessary.
Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Serve food and beverages according to service standards and ensure orders are correct and delivered promptly.
Monitor guest satisfaction and check back regularly during service.
Upsell menu items, beverages, desserts, and specialty offerings.
Deliver checks and process payments accurately.
Follow alcohol service regulations and responsible beverage service practices.
Set up dining areas, tables, and service stations before service periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations and dining areas.
Complete side work, opening duties, and closing responsibilities.
Reset and prepare tables for incoming guests.
Maintain knowledge of menu changes, daily specials, and restaurant promotions.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
Support team members and assist other restaurant areas as needed.
