About The Position

This position takes orders and serves food, alcoholic beverages, and/or non-alcoholic beverages, and properly settles transactions at the point of sale. The server provides friendly, professional service to every guest, supports timely seating and service, maintains clean assigned areas and a complete, clean uniform, and performs duties in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and gaming regulations. The role also involves communicating with supervisors and coworkers, keeping informed of company communications, and completing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must obtain an ABLE liquor license and Oklahoma ABLE Commission Server’s License, and pass the Alcohol Compliance Education Test.
Must obtain and maintain an Osage Nation Gaming License; a pre-employment drug screening and drug test are required.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must provide documents establishing eligibility to work in the United States and keep required documents current and valid.
Must obtain a Food Handler’s Permit.
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift at least 20 pounds, as well as push, pull, or drag up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform repetitive motions using wrists, fingers, and hands.
Osage, Native American, and Veteran preference applies to all positions at Osage Casinos.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the gaming, hospitality, food, beverage, or customer service industry is preferred.
Previous experience in a high-volume food service operation or bar is preferred.
Cash-handling experience or previous POS usage is helpful.

Responsibilities

Provide courteous and considerate service to internal and external guests.
Cooperate and communicate with coworkers while maintaining a respectful, positive, and helpful attitude.
Take orders and serve food and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
Operate a cash register or POS terminal and accurately process cash and credit-card transactions.
Balance money transactions and related paperwork.
Provide timely food and drink service in a friendly and courteous manner.
Seat guests promptly and escort them to tables in a friendly and courteous manner.
Keep assigned areas clean and clear of empty drink containers and trash.
Look for opportunities to provide service.
Maintain a proper, complete, and clean uniform.
Use available resources to complete essential duties and responsibilities.
Maintain working relationships with company staff and applicable regulatory commissions and agencies to support compliance.
Perform duties in accordance with company values, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and gaming regulations.
Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports if required by the reporting senior.
Keep informed of company information and communications through property bulletin boards, digital signage, and the company newsletter.
Communicate concerns and information to the supervisor, listen to the supervisor, and share improvement ideas with the supervisor and management through the chain of command.
Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
