About The Position

The Restaurant Server at Red Orchid, a new Asian cuisine restaurant concept at Mystic Lake Casino, provides exceptional guest service in a fast-paced dining environment. The role involves taking and entering orders, explaining menu items and specials, making recommendations, serving food and beverages according to guest specifications, and following responsible alcohol service standards. The server checks on guests throughout and after their meals, supports dining-area readiness and cleanliness, processes food and beverage charges, handles payments and tips, and completes sales, reconciliation, and tip-reporting tasks.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong guest service skills.
Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Takes food orders and enters them into the P.O.S. system.
Explains menu items and specials and recommends additional side orders.
Serves food and beverages according to guest specifications while following responsible alcohol service standards.
Checks on guests’ needs for condiments, beverages, or additional food items.
Follows up on guest satisfaction during and after dining.
Performs pre-bussing and bussing duties.
Ensures supplies, such as ashtrays and napkins, are adequate for guests’ needs.
Operates the P.O.S. system to process food and beverage charges.
Handles cash, checks, currency, credit cards, gift certificates, complimentaries, and tips.
Operates automated and manual credit card validation equipment.
Prepares daily sales reports and reconciliation statements.
Maintains cleanliness of guest and work areas.
Completes a tip reporting form.
