About The Position

The Bartender provides high standards of guest service in a fast-paced entertainment environment. The role involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, processing guest payments, maintaining bar inventory and cleanliness, and following responsible alcohol service guidelines. The Bartender also answers guest questions, shares casino information, and helps resolve guest complaints.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
A combination of bartending experience and/or bartending education totaling one year, or successful completion of the bartending training period as an internal team member.
Ability to work a varying schedule.
Knowledge of alcohol awareness rules and regulations.

Knowledge of point-of-sale systems.

Responsibilities

Takes guest drink orders and prepares and serves beverages according to management-approved recipes and procedures.
Uses the point-of-sale system to process food and beverage charges.
Handles cash, checks, currency, credit cards, gift certificates, complimentaries, and tips.
Operates automated and manual credit card validation equipment.
Sets up and stocks the bar before opening.
Prepares garnishes and requests supplies as needed.
Maintains and cleans the bar area and equipment, and locks up according to prescribed procedures.
Assists bar-back or dish and kitchen staff with organizing and maintaining glassware and bar supplies.
Follows responsible alcohol service guidelines and prohibits sales of alcoholic beverages to underage or intoxicated guests according to established procedures.
Interacts with guests to provide exceptional service and resolve complaints.
Answers guest questions and provides casino information.
