About The Position

At Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), the Host/Hostess assists in providing Owners and guests with experiences and events that create memorable vacation memories. The role welcomes and seats guests, arranges dining areas, ensures appropriate place settings, and monitors dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being. The position is casual, with 0–19 hours per week.

Requirements

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Able to reach overhead and below the knees; bend, twist, pull, and stoop; and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• May be required to undergo background and drug screening, contingent on company policy and applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Seat guests at clean, available tables; pull out chairs and provide clean, current menus.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings, and organize seating for groups with special needs while minimizing disturbance to other guests.
• Greet guests and determine the size of their party.
• Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and standard place-setting items.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.
• Welcome and greet guests, anticipate their needs, and address them.
• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contribute to team goals.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.
