About The Position

The Restaurant General Manager leads a SONIC Drive-In restaurant, owning its performance and profitability while developing a high-performing team. The role oversees operational and financial results, including labor, inventory, cash controls, and security procedures. The General Manager recruits and hires team members and managers, coaches employees, and ensures guests receive friendly service and quality food in a clean, welcoming restaurant. The position offers leadership development and opportunities to pursue above-store roles.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Restaurant General Manager experience in food service or retail with profit and loss responsibility.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to close the restaurant at least 2 nights per week.
• Ability to work in an active restaurant environment, including standing, walking, lifting, moving through compact spaces, and safely using restaurant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant performance and profitability, including labor, inventory, cash controls, security procedures, and financial results.
• Recruit, interview, and hire Team Members, Shift Managers, and Assistant General Managers.
• Coach and develop employees to deliver operational excellence and strong restaurant results.
• Complete required inventory counts and use the results to help control costs.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming restaurant and ensure guests receive friendly service and quality food.
