About The Position

The Food and Beverage Cashier at Solitude Mountain Resort enters purchases into the point-of-sale system and collects payment. The position also supports restaurant operations through bussing tables, maintaining dining and checkout areas, stocking deli and beverage items, and providing guest service. The work environment includes mountain food and beverage locations.

The role is classified as hourly and may be full-time, part-time, or seasonal. Employees must be willing to work flexible schedules that may include weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules that may include holidays and weekends.
• Knowledge of customer service sufficient to meet Solitude’s standards.
• Ability and willingness to collaborate.
• Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses or certifications, such as a Food Handler’s Permit and Sips & Tips.
• Ability to multitask.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take cash, check, and credit-card payments from patrons in exchange for food or services.
• Scan items, provide change, and process card transactions.
• Ensure pricing is correct in the point-of-sale system.
• Greet customers respectfully and in a friendly manner.
• Scan coupons and employee Solibucks at the register.
• Check identification to confirm customers are at least 21 when purchasing alcohol.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and credits.
• Count cash drawers at the beginning of shifts and ensure amounts are correct and adequate change is available.
• Replace receipt paper as needed.
• Resolve payment discrepancies.
• Clean the checkout area with a damp cloth and disinfectant.
• Answer customer questions and refer unresolved issues to a manager.
• Stock deli coolers and beverages in designated areas.
• Maintain dining-room cleanliness, including bussing and cleaning tables, windows, and floors.
• Remove and dispose of trash and recycling.
• Provide guest service while bussing tables, including answering questions about mountain information, directions, and restaurant information.
• Support restaurant staff with other tasks as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures in the handbook.
