Expleo Canada is seeking a highly experienced Technical Engineering Lead – Mechanical & CAE to support the technical execution and growth of engineering projects across multiple industries, including automotive, transportation, manufacturing, and recreational vehicles. This individual will work directly with the Account Management team and Expleo global engineering entities to support the technical side of projects and work packages related to mechanical design, product development, CAE, meshing, and simulation activities. The role requires a strong technical background combined with leadership, coordination, client-facing communication, and delivery management capabilities. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring technical quality, supporting customer discussions, coordinating international engineering activities, and driving successful project execution. This role will be based directly within the Expleo Canada office and will play a strategic role in supporting the technical growth and engineering delivery capabilities of the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
6 to 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, CAE/Simulation, or Engineering Delivery
Experience within automotive, transportation, aerospace, heavy vehicle, or related industries
Advanced French required (primary working language)
Functional to advanced English is required to support collaboration with international teams and participate in customer discussions
Bilingualism (French/English) is essential due to the international nature of the role

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineering designation (OIQ or equivalent) is considered an asset
Experience working with offshore or international engineering teams is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Act as the main technical reference for mechanical engineering and CAE-related projects
Support Account Managers on the technical aspects of projects, proposals, and client discussions
Coordinate technical activities with Expleo global entities (India, Europe, North America, etc.)
Drive and monitor the technical execution of engineering work packages
Participate in technical reviews and ensure deliverable quality before submission to clients
Support engineering estimations, project scoping, and workload evaluations
Identify technical risks and support mitigation strategies
Participate in client meetings and technical workshops
Support offshore and international engineering teams during project execution
Ensure alignment between customer expectations and delivery teams
