About The Position

This role is for an FHS Component Performance Engineer & Technical Leader within Airbus Canada, part of the 1SYRC international team. The position involves providing FHS Engineering services to a portfolio of airlines, acting as a direct customer contact, and supporting the A220 FHS-Engineering Program Leader. The role focuses on analyzing component reliability, providing technical expertise, and generating value and profitability for Airbus by ensuring the maintenance and operational reliability of airline fleets.

Requirements

  • Experience in System Engineering, Customer Services - multi ATA & A220 & A320 programs.
  • Experience in FHS-C/PbH, component reliability activities, airline maintenance operations / MRO.
  • Good Stakeholder management: proven ability to connect, influence and drive projects across a complex eco-system.
  • Experimented in Project Management with a proven ability to drive business transformation and deliver efficiency gains in an international context.
  • Proven experience in Skywise Contour and Slate computing.
  • Curious & innovation mindset: digital and artificial intelligence.
  • Excellent direct customer-facing communication skills.
  • Autonomous, proactive, simplicity-oriented, and able to quickly adapt to constantly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Influence the A220 ecosystem in Canada to improve the reliability of A220 components by liaising with the A220 Airbus Program and challenging suppliers.
  • Find technical workarounds for A220 FHS parts reliability issues.
  • Attend In-Service boards and associated governance to represent FHS and perform ad-hoc analysis.
  • Manage FHS-C Engineering scope and deliverables for A320 (America) and A220 (worldwide) contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Anticipate and forecast reliability trends, define their impact on FHS business and airline operations, and propose recommendations and solutions.
  • Act as the primary interface with the A220 ecosystem in Canada and 1SY in Canada.
  • Serve as the voice of FHS in Airbus Canada for the A220 and legacy programs.
  • Represent 1SYR for the NOVA project.
  • Lead improvement projects and technical topics requiring significant airline engineering, component engineering, and business knowledge.
  • Ensure consistent and efficient ways of working within the 1SYR organization, focusing on process maturity, standardization, automation, and efficiency.
  • Contribute to FHS business profitability and performance.
  • Collaborate transversally within the organization, supporting each other and learning collectively.
