About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Technical manager, Portfolio Administration and Business Operations Leader to join our Chief Engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as Technical manager, Portfolio Administration and Business operations leader will be to steer the transversal activities pertaining to the Chief Engineering responsibilities: Systems Engineering deployment, Technical maturity Gates, Risks & Opportunities management at aircraft level, deployment of Validation & Verification (V&V management), etc., lead the Portfolio Enable the Future and sustainable aircraft, and be responsible for the execution of Chief Engineering governances.

Requirements

  • You hold a university degree in Engineering
  • You have more than 12 years experience in product development environment and project management
  • You have strong organizational, influence and presentation skills
  • Capability to drive activities in complex environments and across multidisciplinary teams
  • Understanding of business concepts including product value and cost control
  • Bilingual professional with advanced negotiation skills in English and native-level fluency in French

Responsibilities

  • Steer the transversal activities pertaining to the Chief Engineering responsibilities: Systems Engineering deployment, Technical maturity Gates, Risks & Opportunities management at aircraft level, deployment of Validation & Verification (V&V management), etc.
  • Lead the Portfolio Enable the Future and sustainable aircraft
  • Be responsible for the execution of Chief Engineering governances
  • Lead the Portfolio Enable the Future & Sustainable aircraft, supporting the achievement of the A220 development roadmap, managing budget and priorities in alignment with the A220 product evolution ambitions and AOP assumptions.
  • Support the achievement of the A220 Sustainability roadmap.
  • Be the voice of the Chief Engineer organisation across the A220 Portfolio management activities.
  • Represent the A220 Chief Engineering in BDPR (Airbus X-Programmes) milestones.
  • Act as the Systems Engineering technical leader for New Developments, ensuring the deployment of robust Requirements Management processes and V&V culture in Airbus Canada.
  • Manage the Chief Engineering business operations: AOP cycle, resource planning, Finance reviews, Performance reviews (Flight Deck), Risks & Opportunities, etc.
  • Coordinate the Chief Engineer owned governances, such as Design Progress Meetings (DPM), 1-Program Review Meetings (1-PRM), Overall Aircraft Design operational meetings (OAD Ops).
  • Represent the Chief Engineer organisation in the Product Change boards (LB, CCB).
  • Represent the A220 Program for Data Analytics studies in the interface with Zero-AOG team.
