About The Position

L3Harris MAS is seeking a Project Manager to join its program management team, responsible for delivering in-service support projects for the National Defence Ministry and commercial clients. The role operates within a stimulating, dynamic environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth. The program management team collaborates closely with clients, ensures cross-functional alignment, drives project execution, and contributes to achieving overall program objectives within a defined contractual and performance management framework, all while upholding operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Strong project and change management skills.
  • Good understanding of the aerospace industry and/or aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Ability to integrate technical, operational, and contractual considerations into project execution, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery in compliance with internal directives, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management and/or coordination (any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Proactive, demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, and leadership, and possesses strong planning, organizing, monitoring, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and effectively balance priorities.
  • Responds positively to pressure.
  • Ability to communicate project-related data and details clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal directly with internal and external clients.
  • Be autonomous, reliable, and demonstrate good judgment.
  • Eligible for registration in the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian government Reliability Status and Secret Level II / NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to meet the requirements of U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in change management is an asset.
  • Experience in the Canadian Defence industry and in a performance-based contract environment are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project team, prepare and manage deliverables following internal guidelines and practices, as well as applicable regulations and standards.
  • In collaboration with the project financial analyst and other project team members, plan and monitor project execution.
  • Apply the 5 main project management processes: Initiate the project, including obtaining necessary client documentation and holding the kick-off meeting.
  • Plan the project, including developing and submitting the proposed project plan.
  • Execute the project, including monitoring progress and communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Manage risks and changes, including clarification steps with the client and preparing change proposals.
  • Close the project, including preparing the retrospective analysis and lessons learned.
  • Communicate effectively to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and ensure the project team operates efficiently within the organization.
  • Effectively manage communications with the client regarding status, scope of changes, costs, and schedule.
  • Represent L3Harris MAS during integrated team meetings with the client.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practices in project management.
