About The Position

L3Harris MAS is seeking a Project Lead to join its Program Management team. This role is crucial for delivering In-Service Support projects within a dynamic environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth. The Program Management team collaborates closely with customers, ensures cross-functional alignment, drives project execution, and works towards achieving program objectives within the contractual framework, all while maintaining operational excellence. The current portfolio includes a wide range of In-Service-Support activities for Department of National Defence fleets and commercial customers.

Requirements

  • Strong project and change management skills.
  • Solid understanding of the aerospace industry and/or aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Ability to integrate technical, operational, and contractual considerations into project execution, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with internal directives, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management or project coordination (any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered).
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
  • Pro-active, demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative and a strong leadership, planning, organizational, analytical, and decision making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively balance priorities.
  • Responds positively to pressure.
  • Ability to communicate project related details clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form.
  • Ability to deal directly with internal and external customers.
  • Autonomous, exercise good judgment, reliable.
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the aerospace industry and/or aircraft maintenance environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Change Management is an asset.
  • Experience in the Canadian Defence Industry and in a performance-based contract environment are considered assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams, prepare and manage deliverables in keeping with internal directives, procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of projects in close collaboration with the Project Financial Analyst and Program team members.
  • Initiate the project, including obtaining the necessary documentation from the client and holding the kick-off meeting.
  • Plan the project, including the development and the submission of a proposed project plan.
  • Execute the project, including the monitoring of progress and the communication of results to stakeholders.
  • Manage the project risks and changes, including the clarification steps with the client and the change proposal preparation.
  • Close the project, including post mortem preparations and lessons learned documentation.
  • Apply efficient communication practices to ensure the stakeholders are informed of the development of the project and that the project team operates efficiently inside the organization.
  • Effectively manage customer communications with regards to the project status, scope changes, costs and schedule.
  • Represent L3Harris MAS during the integrated team reviews with the customer.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of project management best practices.
