About The Position

A compassionate and attentive Respite Provider is sought to support a young boy in the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area. The provider will help the child thrive through consistent routines and gentle guidance, while supporting his independence and ability to remain in his own home. Care will take place at the community Boys & Girls Club. The schedule will be discussed and determined between the provider and managing party, with availability sought on days when school is not in session, such as teacher workdays, holidays, and seasonal breaks. The wage is $17.66 per hour. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, the Member is the legal employer; Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting and does not have authority over hiring or dismissal.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a caregiver/criminal background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Patient, proactive, compassionate, and attentive approach; committed to supporting the child through consistent routines and gentle guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision during indoor and outdoor activities at the community Boys & Girls Club.
• Help the child build and practice social and communication skills.
• Deescalate heightened behaviors and support emotional regulation.
• Provide structured prompts to help the child stay on a toileting schedule.
• Engage with the child in activities he enjoys, including socializing with friends, physical activities, and learning new things.
