Respite Provider
About The Position
Provide respite care for a sweet and energetic young boy in the Wausau, Wisconsin area. The role offers an opportunity to support the child with positive experiences, social interaction, and fun activities in the community. The schedule is part-time, with flexible hours to be determined between the caregiver and the parent. Pay is $14.13 per hour. If hired by a member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN)—will be the legal employer and will have sole authority to hire or dismiss the caregiver. CDCN assists with recruiting Direct Care Workers.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and companionship.
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, such as playground visits, trips to the park, library story times, and other fun events.
- Encourage learning, play, and social interaction.
