Respite Provider
About The Position
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and supportive Respite Provider to assist an individual in their home and occasionally in the community. The role is suited to someone who enjoys helping with everyday activities, offering encouragement, and fostering a positive, comfortable environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, with flexibility and occasional weekends. Pay is $14.13 per hour, with a daily code rate of $207.24 for qualifying shifts of eight hours or longer. The provider will support the individual’s independence and participation in normal daily routines. Consumer Direct Care Network assists the Member or Managing Party with recruiting; if hired by the Member or Managing Party, that party is the legal employer and has sole authority to hire or dismiss the provider.
Requirements
- Be reliable and dependable.
- Be patient, friendly, and compassionate.
- Be comfortable assisting with everyday household activities.
- Provide respectful, person-centered support.
- Be comfortable working in the home and occasionally in the community.
- Cannot be afraid of dogs.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is considered a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic household routines, such as making the bed.
- Help with meals and simple meal preparation.
- Assist with the care and cleaning of a guinea pig’s cage.
- Provide companionship, encouragement, and positive support.
- Help the individual participate in activities and errands in the community.
- Support independence and participation in normal daily routines.
