About The Position

This part-time respite provider role involves spending time with a child in the child's home to give the primary caregivers a short break while helping the child feel safe, supported, and engaged. The provider will build a positive relationship with the child, encourage independence in a safe and supportive environment, and may accompany the child on community outings such as visits to parks or walks. Care takes place primarily in the child's home.

Requirements

• Patient, gentle, and compassionate demeanor.

• Ability to understand and respond to the child's needs, including navigating communication barriers.

Responsibilities

• Engage the child in enjoyable, age-appropriate activities, such as going to the park, taking walks, or watching favorite movies or TV shows.
