About The Position

Provide respite care for a kindergarten-aged girl in her home in the Boyceville, Wisconsin area. Community outings are encouraged, including activities such as playground visits, library storytime, and trips to a waterpark, farmers market, or other places where she can learn new things. The role involves 12 hours per month on a flexible schedule, with shifts that may vary between mornings, afternoons, and weekends. The schedule will be determined between the provider and the managing party. Pay is $14.13 per hour. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, the Member—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer. Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting, while the Member or Managing Party has sole authority to hire or dismiss the worker.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Complete a criminal and caregiver background check.
• Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
• Have knowledge of outpatient therapy and speech therapy.
• Have knowledge of Down syndrome or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and ensure the child's safety.
• Remain actively attentive.
• Assist with toileting, including pull-ups and potty training.
• Prepare snacks and assist with meal preparation.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Help build the child's confidence and independence.
• Provide companionship and support social engagement.
• Provide transportation to and from activities.
