About The Position

The Respite Manager oversees the daily operations of ACHIEVE’s Respite program. In this hands-on leadership role, the manager coordinates daily and overnight respite visits, supervises direct care staff, and helps ensure services meet each person’s needs while maintaining agency and regulatory standards. The position is based in Madison County, is full-time at 37.5 hours per week, and requires participation in an on-call rotation. The listed pay is $25.00.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and basic math skills.
• Acceptable New York State driver’s license with at least 12 months of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake, eligibility verification, and daily and overnight respite visits.
• Hire, train, and supervise direct care staff; manage scheduling and shift coverage.
• Oversee care documentation, medication supervision and administration, and implementation of individual support and behavior plans.
• Monitor budgets, billing, attendance, payroll records, and individual finances as needed.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance, complete inspections and reports, and participate in the on-call rotation.
