Respite Care Provider
About The Position
A part-time, flexible, as-needed respite care role supporting a young boy in the Menomonie, Wisconsin area. The position begins with one weekend per month, with the possibility of increasing hours as the provider builds a bond with the child. Care may take place in the child's home, the provider's home, or the community. The child enjoys reading, outdoor play, sports—especially basketball—Godzilla, and animals. Pay is $14.13 per hour. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that Member is the legal employer; Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting and does not have authority to hire or dismiss the provider.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Auto insurance.
- Experience working with autistic children.
Responsibilities
- Engage with the child through his preferred activities.
- Provide supervision.
- Take the child on community outings.
