Respite Care Provider
About The Position
Provide respite support to an individual in Bloomer, Wisconsin, helping them work toward goals, build independence, and participate in the community. The role offers 8 hours weekly plus 6 days a month. Pay is $10.60 per hour, with up to $154.48 per day for qualifying shifts of 8 hours or longer. The provider offers supervision and practical assistance in a safe, positive environment, supports daily routines and activities as needed, and builds a positive relationship with the participant. This opportunity also provides support to the participant’s family. Consumer Direct Care Network assists the Member or Managing Party with recruiting; if hired, the Member or Managing Party is the legal employer and has sole authority to hire or dismiss the worker.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable.
- Ability to follow support plans and family preferences.
Nice To Haves
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred.
- Prior caregiving experience is helpful but not always required.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and support in a safe and positive environment.
- Assist with daily living activities as needed, including medication reminders and bathroom routines.
- Support participation in community outings and recreational activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development.
- Help establish routines and provide structure when appropriate.
- Build a positive and supportive relationship with the participant.
