Respite Care Provider
About The Position
Provide respite care to a young teen in Menomonie, Wisconsin, in the child’s home, the community, and the provider’s home. The provider should be consistent, playful, patient, kind, compassionate, and understanding, and engage the child in activities he enjoys. The schedule is up to 30 hours per month and up to five overnights per month. Pay is $17.66 per hour and $256 per overnight. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and will have sole authority to hire or dismiss the provider. Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruitment.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Auto insurance.
- Flexible schedule.
- Availability on evenings and weekends.
- Do not smoke around the child.

Responsibilities
- Supervise the child.
- Administer medication as needed.
- Prepare simple meals.
- Engage with the child through his preferred activities.
- Assist with the bedtime routine.
- Provide overnight respite once the child is comfortable.
