Respite Care Provider
About The Position
Consumer Direct Care Network is seeking a part-time respite care provider for a young boy in the Menomonie, Wisconsin area. The position is flexible and as needed, starting with one weekend per month, with the opportunity to increase hours as a relationship with the child develops. Care may take place in the child’s home, the provider’s home, or the community. The hourly pay is $14.13. The child enjoys reading, outdoor play, sports—especially basketball—Godzilla, and animals. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that person or party would be the legal employer and would have sole authority to hire or dismiss the provider. Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting Direct Care Workers.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Auto insurance.
- Experience working with autistic children.
Responsibilities
- Engage with the child through activities he prefers.
- Supervise the child.
- Take the child on community outings.
