About The Position

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor provides compassionate respiratory care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role includes providing direct care involving medical gases, breathing therapy modalities, and medication; supervising care and breathing treatments; leading patient assessments; developing personalized care plans; and addressing patient concerns. The supervisor builds relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs and supports them throughout recovery.

Requirements

• Current state license in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• Associate's degree or higher from an accredited respiratory therapy program.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy.
• Supervisor or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients requiring medical gas, breathing therapy modalities, and medication.
• Supervise patient care and breathing treatments.
• Lead patient assessments.
• Create personalized care plans.
• Target and resolve patient concerns.
• Build relationships with patients and understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs.
• Support patients through recovery and celebrate their progress.
