About The Position
The Respiratory Therapy Outpatient Operations Coordinator manages the department reception area and supports patient intake, clinical scheduling, ECG processing, billing, clerical operations, payroll verification, productivity justification, and monthly reporting. The role serves patients and coordinates with department staff and other designated departments.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of healthcare experience.
- Basic understanding of the healthcare billing process.
Responsibilities
- Manage the department reception area, greet patients, assist with paperwork processing and billing, and direct patients to the appropriate treatment areas or departments.
- Process ECGs, including logging tracings, directing them to an interpreter, generating an initial hard-copy summary, and processing signed interpretations.
- Coordinate scheduling for inpatient and outpatient clinical appointments.
- Perform routine clerical duties, including typing, reserving meeting rooms, copying, word processing, answering phones, and transcribing dictated reports.
- Facilitate completion of monthly staff and on-call schedules.
- Assist with verifying department payroll.
- Coordinate and process billing for ECG interpretation services.
- Assist with monthly justification for sleep lab and respiratory productivity.
- Prepare and distribute monthly reports to departments designated by the Director.
