Respiratory Therapist / Per Diem - Tier 1
About The Position
Regency Hospital - Cleveland East is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists provide compassionate care and treatment to patients during this recovery process. This per-diem/PRN Tier 1 position is located in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, and is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per six weeks. Compensation is $45 per hour. The employer offers an extensive respiratory therapist orientation program and notes that the role may provide an opportunity to demonstrate skills and dedication that could lead to potential full-time opportunities.
Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Hold Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire; agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS by their first shift.

- One year of related experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
