Respiratory Therapist / Per Diem - Tier 2
About The Position
Regency Hospital - Cleveland East is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists play a central role in delivering compassionate treatment to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. This per diem/PRN Tier 2 position is based in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, and is scheduled for two 12-hour shifts per week, including at least three weekend shifts every six weeks. The hospital offers an extensive orientation program and the opportunity to demonstrate skills and dedication that could lead to potential full-time opportunities.
Requirements
- Hold an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Obtain ACLS upon hire; agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS before their first shift.

- One year of related experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
