Respiratory Therapist / Per Diem - Tier 2
About The Position
Regency Hospital - Cleveland East is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists provide compassionate care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. The position includes an extensive orientation program, and demonstrated skills and dedication may lead to potential full-time opportunities. This per-diem/PRN Tier 2 position is located in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. The schedule is two 12-hour shifts per week, including at least three weekend shifts every six weeks. Compensation is $51 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or a state equivalent.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
- Hold current state licensure.
- Have ACLS upon hire; agency respiratory therapists must have ACLS by their first shift.

- One year of related experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
- Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
- Promote continuous quality improvement.
- Teach and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
