About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting in Glenwood Springs, CO. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/22/2026. The role involves providing respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary patients of all ages and acuities. Responsibilities include managing ventilators and critical care equipment, performing various respiratory therapies, conducting diagnostic procedures, collaborating with the healthcare team, and applying neonatal and pediatric expertise. Housing options are available near the assignment, including remodeled studio or small one-bedroom units with utilities and Wi-Fi included and furnished.
Requirements
- Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing; active RRT credential required; CRT not eligible
- Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Neonatal and pediatric experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting, including 3x12-hour shifts with weekend rotation
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary patients of all ages and acuities
- Manage ventilators and critical care equipment; monitor patient status and adjust settings per orders
- Perform aerosolized therapy, airway clearance techniques, bronchodilator therapies, and chest physiotherapy as prescribed
- Conduct and assist with diagnostic procedures and assessments; document interventions and patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounds and care planning
- Apply neonatal and pediatric expertise to appropriate patients and respond to respiratory emergencies per protocol
