About The Position
The Respiratory Therapist Tech provides respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. The role involves continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support, consultation with physicians, CPR, and other aspects of respiratory care. The position uses computerized charting systems, Pyxis medication management, PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, a V60 ventilator, and a Para Pac transport ventilator. This is a 15-week contract with a day shift from 0630 to 1900, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours). Hours are not guaranteed. An active State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license is required upon acceptance of an offer. Before the assignment begins, candidates must provide proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption application; vaccination may be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
- Active State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license upon acceptance of an offer.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Before the assignment starts, provide proof of flu vaccination or an approved application for medical or religious exemption.
Nice To Haves
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
