Respiratory Therapist/Pulmonary Function Technologist (Contract) - Miami, Florida
About The Position
Crosswalk Health is seeking Respiratory Therapists (CRT or RRT) and Pulmonary Function Technologists (CPFT or RPFT) to perform simple spirometry testing (pre/post albuterol) at primary care clinics in Miami, Florida. This role is ideal for individuals who value flexible, daytime-only work, clinical autonomy, independence, and strong relationships with patients and clinic teams. The company is focused on reimagining pulmonary care by bringing high-quality, guideline-based outpatient spirometry testing into primary care clinics, especially in rural and underserved communities, to help providers detect disease earlier, reduce hospitalizations, and improve patients' quality of life.
Requirements
- Experience performing bedside or complete PFTs
- Understanding of possible side effects of albuterol administration
- Proficiency in respiratory therapy practices, procedures, and terminology
- Comfortable working independently
- Comfortable traveling locally (within a 45 minute radius)
- Available two to five days per week
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
Responsibilities
- Perform pre/post simple spirometry testing with a handheld device
- Prepare and coach patients through testing to ensure comfort and accuracy
- Accurately grade each effort and upload results remotely for physician review
- Monitor patient safety during procedures
- Maintain testing equipment and follow quality and safety protocols
- Represent Crosswalk Health professionally at each clinic site
