Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary Function Testing - Days
About The Position
The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory treatment modalities in accordance with established policies and procedures and communicates relevant information to support continuity of care. The role delivers and delegates respiratory care to inpatient and outpatient populations, using sound judgment and a multidisciplinary approach. The therapist seeks knowledge about patients’ conditions, diseases, and treatments and applies it to patient care, documentation, and team conferences. The position is per diem at Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. The schedule includes every third weekend on a 12-hour day shift, plus five hours Tuesday through Thursday when certain outpatient tests are scheduled.
Requirements
- Pulmonary function testing experience.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program.
- Registered through the NBRC.
- Licensed in Delaware or holding a valid temporary license, and registered as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Certified in BLS.

- Identify and appropriately use a multidisciplinary approach to facilitate care delivery.
- Seek knowledge about patients’ conditions, diseases, and treatments, and apply it to patient care, documentation, and team conferences.
