About The Position

Sentara is currently hiring a rotating shift NICU Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their team at Sentara Princess Anne in Virginia Beach, VA! Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, VA, is a Magnet Status, general medical and surgical facility with 160 beds. The hospital offers a full-service emergency room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, Oncology and Stroke services. It also encompasses a Family Maternity Center with an On-site Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Requirements

Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
State Respiratory license
NBRC RRT
BLS required at time of hire.
For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.
1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment.
Monitor patient respiratory status and adjust treatments as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
