About The Position

This position is responsible for providing care for patients during cardiopulmonary rehab evaluations and exercise sessions. The role also involves responding to emergency care situations. The core functions include systematic assessment and reassessment of patient needs, diagnosis, and expected outcomes, involving patients, families, and healthcare providers. Care is implemented through interventions using professional judgment guided by current practice standards, rules, regulations, and policy. Patient outcomes are evaluated using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in respiratory therapy (RRT) required.
  • Current Oklahoma Respiratory Therapist license is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to providing patient care and maintained throughout duration of employment.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) is required within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment.
  • Good communication and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy (BSRT) preferred.
  • Previous experience in acute care working with patients experiencing cardiac and pulmonary disease preferred.
