About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs Cardiopulmonary duties in accordance with hospital policy and procedure under general supervision. Responsibilities may include administering respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures. The therapist is expected to provide a high level of customer service, participate actively in continuous quality improvement, and serve as a resource to other employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Must become certified in PALS and ACLS within 8 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardiopulmonary duties in accordance with hospital policy and procedure under general supervision.
• Administer respiratory treatments.
• Perform airway management and ventilator management.
• Perform blood gases and other noninvasive cardiology procedures.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Participate in the continuous quality improvement process.
