About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide care for a diverse patient population in its Las Vegas long-term acute care hospital. The position is PRN and rotating. The practitioner performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The role also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcomed, and candidates with a commitment to learn are also considered.
Requirements
- Be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Hold blood gas licensure if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, have at least a high school diploma.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine respiratory therapy procedures.
