About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population in its hospitals. The role involves caring for chronically and critically ill patients who need extended hospital care. Candidates should have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. PAM Health provides specialty healthcare services through more than 80 locations, wound clinics, and outpatient physical therapy locations in 17 states. Its mission is to provide compassionate, expert care and support recovery through education and research.

Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
A minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
Maintain all equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
