About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population. The role is based at a specialty hospital and supports chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Candidates should have prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learning. The RCP performs routine therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. The position is identified as PRN nights.

Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
A minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
Maintain all equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
