About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide care for a diverse patient population in its specialty hospitals. The role involves caring for chronically and critically ill patients who may require extended hospital care. Candidates with prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learn are encouraged to apply.

The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested for the patient population.

Requirements

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, a high school diploma is required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
• A minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
• An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
• Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
• Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
