About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide care for a diverse patient population in its hospitals. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing when required or requested. PAM Health cares for chronically and critically ill patients who need extended hospital care. The posting identifies this opportunity as PRN nights at the Covington LTACH.
Requirements
- Be certified or licensed to practice respiratory care in the state where the hospital is located.
- Possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Hold blood gas licensure if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, have at least a high school diploma.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment and desire to learn.
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
Responsibilities
