About The Position

CASES is seeking a Resource Coordinator for its Harlem Community Office within the Supervised Release Program (SRP) and Pretrial Services Team. The role supports justice system-involved participants, including people who have been arrested multiple times and may be difficult to serve. The Coordinator engages new participants, including following up on intake within 48 hours of release from Manhattan Criminal Court arraignments, and prioritizes helping eligible participants secure government benefits. The role also involves networking with external providers, helping participants navigate other agencies, building relationships with participants, and assisting SRP staff in obtaining resources. The position is primarily based at the Harlem Community Office and includes fieldwork and networking across the NYC community. It requires cultural competency, a commitment to anti-racist practices, effective engagement with participants with high needs, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in community settings. SRP serves people diverted from pretrial detention to community-based supervision and support. Participants have not been found guilty and are not mandated to participate in treatment or other services, so staff use tactful approaches that help participants draw on their strengths and motivation while meeting court requirements. This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for 35 hours per week excluding breaks. The salary is $60,100 per year. The position is located at 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY 10027.
