About The Position

As a Residential Specialist, you’ll provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, you’ll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence. The schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., in Kearney Mesa. The pay range is $20.00 to $20.65.

The role involves hands-on support with daily activities, encouragement toward personal goals and independence, and helping create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Compassionate and genuinely enjoys helping others.
• Adaptable and comfortable working with diverse individuals in different situations.
• Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, reliable, and takes pride in creating a positive environment.
• Passion for making a difference.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.
