About The Position

The Residential Specialist provides direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential home environment. Using a person-centered approach, the specialist empowers clients to participate in daily life, make choices, and build independence. The role is located in Santee and is scheduled Thursday through Saturday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The listed pay range is $20.00 to $20.65 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
Compassion and genuine enjoyment of helping others.
Adaptability and comfort working with diverse individuals in different situations.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibility, reliability, and pride in creating a positive environment.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, dressing and undressing, mobility, and personal organization.
Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
