About The Position
The Residential Specialist empowers individuals with disabilities to live more independently and confidently in their homes. The role provides hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting and supports individuals with daily activities, personal goals, and a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment. The position is located in Lemon Grove and is scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Pay is $20.00 to $20.65 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Valid California driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
- Compassionate, upbeat, and ready to make someone’s day.
- Comfort working with different personalities and needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable and committed to creating a positive environment.
- Passion for making a difference.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, dressing and undressing, mobility, and personal organization.
- Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
- Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.
