About The Position
The Residential Specialist provides direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, the specialist empowers clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and build independence. The position is located in Santee and is scheduled Thursday through Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The hourly pay is $20.00 to $20.65.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Valid California driver's license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
- Compassionate and genuinely interested in helping others.
- Adaptable and comfortable working with diverse individuals in different situations.
- Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Responsible and reliable, with pride in creating a positive environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, dressing and undressing, mobility, and personal organization.
- Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
