About The Position
The Residential Specialist provides direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential home environment. Using a person-centered approach, the specialist supports clients in engaging in daily life, making choices, and developing independence. The role is located in Chula Vista and lists pay of $20.00 to $20.65 per hour. The posting gives the schedule as Fri–Sat, 3 p.m.–11 p.m.; the title also says Thurs–Sat, 3 p.m.–11 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
- Compassionate, adaptable, responsible, and reliable, with a genuine enjoyment of helping others.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience using case management systems; Therap is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, dressing and undressing, mobility, and personal organization.
