About The Position

Orkin is hiring a Residential Sales Inspector to inspect homes and sell pest-control and related home-protection services. The role offers homeowners protection backed by Orkin’s expertise, guarantee, and established brand. The inspector conducts full-home inspections, explains findings, recommends treatments, and closes sales. They manage appointments, follow-ups, and documentation using a company-provided iPad, while working independently to organize their schedule and develop sales opportunities. Paid training is provided, and prior pest-control experience is not required. The posting states average first-year earnings of $70,000 to $100,000, including base pay and commission, with uncapped commission and potential annual earnings of $150,000 to $200,000 or more for top performers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Use a ladder safely within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and similar areas.
• Wear personal protective equipment, which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Be able to work independently and stay organized.
• Be comfortable climbing, crawling, and working in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct full-home inspections, from attic to crawl space.

• Work independently, prioritize the schedule, and maximize leads and self-generated opportunities.
