About The Position

Orkin is hiring a Residential Sales Inspector to sell pest control and home protection services to homeowners. The role provides customers with inspections, clear explanations of findings, and recommendations for appropriate treatment options. Services include attic cleanouts for wildlife issues, crawl space remediation, termite treatments, pest control, and full-home exclusions.

The position offers uncapped commission, a company vehicle and gas card, paid training, and opportunities for career development and advancement. The posting states average first-year earnings of $70,000 to $100,000 (base plus commission), with top performers potentially earning $150,000 to $200,000 or more annually.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Use a ladder safely within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and similar areas.
• Wear personal protective equipment, which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Be able to work independently and stay organized.
• Be comfortable meeting new people and helping solve problems.
• Be confident, competitive, and goal-driven.
• Be comfortable climbing, crawling, and working in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct full-home inspections, from attics to crawl spaces.
• Explain inspection findings clearly and recommend appropriate treatment options.
• Close sales by presenting the value, protection, and long-term benefits of Orkin’s services.
• Manage appointments, follow-ups, and documentation using a company-provided iPad.
• Work independently, prioritize schedules, and maximize leads and self-generated opportunities.
• Represent Orkin with professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
