Requirements
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Be able to perform essential job functions
- Pass a background investigation
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance (for Older Adult Protective Services Act provisions)
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (for Child Protective Services Law provisions)
Responsibilities
- Teach skills such as hygiene, nutrition, safety practices, and daily routines
- Help individuals develop problem solving, communication skills, and other abilities for community living
- Assist with cooking, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other home activities
- Support individuals with transportation, family interactions, medication tasks, and money management
- Maintain records, complete reports, and share updates during team meetings
- Follow fire and safety rules, participate in drills, and help ensure a safe living environment
