Requirements

Proven experience in general maintenance, construction, or property management.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items up to 125-200 pounds safely and perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot issues.
Good time management skills.
Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
A valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with maintenance tracking software is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with the general maintenance of all agency-owned residential properties.
Prepare apartments for new or relocating residents, which involves moving furniture, appliances, and supplies-often requiring heavy lifting.
Perform a wide range of routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical work, and cabinet installation.
Support the rest of the team with more extensive repairs and renovation projects, including kitchen and bathroom demolition and rehabilitation.
Install and repair various types of flooring-such as ceramic tile, VCT, and vinyl.
Troubleshoot and address appliance issues.
Repair or replace windows, doors, and door locks.
Complete both minor and major building repairs inside and out, including work up to two stories high.
Conduct regular property inspections and perform preventative maintenance to address potential issues before they escalate.
Collaborate with outside contractors and coordinate their work with internal standards and schedules.
Use maintenance management software to track work orders and maintain accurate records of materials and expenses, including purchases made with agency credit cards.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support overall operations.
