About The Position

The Residential HVAC Service Technician services and repairs heating and cooling systems in customers’ homes. The role involves diagnosing system issues, recommending solutions, quoting repairs or replacements, completing approved work, and delivering excellent customer service. Technicians also troubleshoot a variety of residential HVAC systems and install supporting indoor air quality products in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes. Employees attend training to expand their knowledge and expertise and pursue further certifications.

Requirements

• EPA certification.
• Experience in residential HVAC service and sales.
• Ability to learn to determine residential HVAC service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers in their homes and businesses.
• Understanding of residential heating and cooling equipment operation, indoor air quality (IAQ), air distribution systems, and basic repairs of HVAC appliances and fixtures.
• Ability to learn to troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems and install supporting IAQ products according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
• Attend training to expand knowledge and expertise; further certifications are expected.
• Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend, and reach overhead.
• Ability to climb and work on ladders.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Must pass drug testing and background checks and have a valid driver’s license.
